As of September 2008 SMEI's structure became less centralized. Volunteers in 7 different regions of MD and DC are focusing on helping folks in their own neighborhoods to get into a discussion circle (more fun and motivated community-building!). The regions are:

  • Baltimore City/Co.
  • Carroll Co.
  • Frederick Co. and Washington Co.
  • Howard Co.
  • Montgomery Co.
  • Prince Georges Co.
  • Washington, DC

Elsewhere -- including Hartford County, MD, Jefferson County, WV, and other areas where we've started only a few circles -- there is also a volunteer to help you. (Or maybe you'd like to become that volunteer in your own region!
